Part II Double Doors
Alex: Awesome.
Gina: Timeless/Modern.
When was the last time you cleaned out your closet?
Alex: I have two closets...If I don't address them both properly at least a couple of times a month they seem to take on a life of their own.
Gina: About 8 months ago. I find it so hard to part with any of my clothes because they still look so wearable. I only clean my closet out for two reasons, to make more room and I give the clothes to OUT OF THE CLOSET. It makes me happy to think maybe someone will enjoy them as much as I did.
How much of your wardrobe do you presently wear?
Alex: 5%. I seriously feel like I live in the same thing most days... I've become a purist. It's become my uniform.
Gina: 5% but I really would like to change that.
How is your closet currently organized?
Alex: Organized?
Gina: Somewhat organized by bottoms and tops, denim and sweaters , dresses and t-shirts...

Alex: I feel like I tend to incorporate elements of all of the above (though I do detest the term "trendy hipster" and perhaps w/ the exclusion of sporty). I am more fashion forward while honoring my classic sensibility. My style is very representational of myself: I am relaxed and comfortable in my skin + in my clothes - everything has to be natural, effortless or else it ceases to be anything.

Favorite designer(s):
Alex: McQueen was my favorite. He was a true artist + genius... Also, Hussein Chalayan, Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Comme des Garçons, SO many... the list really does goes on (and on... and on). I actually LOVE menswear + wear it quit a bit... My friend Sam (formerly at McQueen) has a great new London based line, Agi and Sam which I'm really vibing on atm. We are both also addicted to Alexander Wang - I don't think there is a day that goes by that one of us isn't wearing his threads.
Gina: Way too many to list , everyday I am inspired by old and new talent.
Best-dressed celebrity (“Fashion Icon”)?
Alex: I don't pay much attention to celebrity... I suppose I'd have to say Jolie. Anytime I see her she always looks great. She has a real ease, her style is seemingly effortless + she has always done her own thing regardless of what The "Fashion Police" might say. Abby Lee is another one who has caught my attention recently...Confidence is key, you can have all the "fabulous" clothes in the world but unless you can carry it - it isn't worth much.
Gina: Rachel Bilson, Angeleina Jolie, Rhianna, Nicole Richie, Olsen twins
If you had unlimited buying power at any store what store would it be?
Alex: In LA(where we both live and JAGGER EDGE is based) I think I speak for both of us when I say Church. The fact that they were really amongst the first to believe in us and our, at the time unheard of, techccessory idea...Really is testament to what visionaries Rodney + David (owners) truly are. Every piece in there is a work of art and they treat it as such! Every time I go in I WANT!!
Gina: For everyday pieces and denim I go to Elisa B in old town pasadena.
How often do you shop?
Alex: Not as often as I should.
Gina: Once a month.
Describe your Go-To (Staple) outfit:
Alex: Anything w/ my combat boots... I've had them since i was 12, they still fit and are ALWAYS on my feet.
Gina: boyfriend jeans, alexander wang tee's, phillip lim harem pants, any soft tees and hoodies.
Which magazines do you subscribe to or read regularly?
Alex: I just discovered DUST which I'm kinda excited about. I love younger magazines that focus on emerging talent vs. stagnant ideas: I Love You, The Last Magazine, Dansk, Husk, Self Service... I'd have to say A is my current fav though.
Gina: Vanity Fair, I am on the internet much more now.
Alex: We've both become blog junkies!!
