Kimberly Alexis Bledel who is popularly known as Alexis Bledel, who was born on September 16, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Nanette, her mother is Mexican and her father Martin Bledel is an Argentine of Danish decent, she also has a younger brother. She learnt English from school rather she was speaking fluently Spanish language.
Her mother Nanette forced Bledel to join Community Theater to overcome her shyness and become bold and active. She joined Catholic St. Agnes Academy in Houston and later she also attended Baptist and Lutheran school. She also had been to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for one year.

In her childhood she did acting in local productions of Our Town and The Wizard of Oz. As she was interested in Modeling, she scouted at a local shopping mall as a fashion model.
In film ‘Rushmore’ (1998) she was seen for the first time on big theater, as Student but was not able to get fame. Than in the year 2000, the TV debut was made with her, by WB series - ‘Gilmore Girls’, in this series she was playing a role of daughter (Rory Gilmore) of single mother Lorelia Gilmore. She than made her film in 2002, film debut ‘Truck Everlasting’.
Besides films she was also seen in Music Videos. She appeared as a main character in the music video for ‘Less Than Jake’s’. In the year 2005 she starred in ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’. This music video was based on the book by Ann Brashares.

In the same year i.e. 2009, Bledel starred opposite Scott Porter in the film ‘The Good Guy’ where she played a role as Beth (Porter’s girlfriend). This film was premiered at Tribeca Film Festival on April 26, 2009.
Modeling World – where in the year 2009 Bledel decided to return back. She signed a contract with a modeling division IMG.
