Behind The Scenes - AW11 Campaign Shoot

'Pippa' - The lady who lunches

Back in March, the Modalu team made their way to leafy Parsons Green, in the heart of South West London, to our favourite studio for the AW11 campaign shoot.

The theme of the shoot was to create a character for each bag, to portray the diversity of the Modalu woman. Each bag was given a glamorous personality, such as ‘The Artist’, ‘The Art Collector’, ‘The Lady who Lunches’, ‘The Jet Setter’ and ‘The Party Girl’. Creating these strong personalities meant that we needed to source some great props to perfectly represent the characters. Having spent months searching markets, designer stores, art studios, restaurants and airports we had built up an admirable collection of amazing props to create our shoot.

Our photographer was the hugely talented Mikkel Russel Jensen. Renowned for his glamorous photographic style, Mikkel is a master of lighting and style, and effortlessly manages to get the smallest details to pop in photos. He shoots textures with extreme detail, and was therefore the perfect choice for this shoot, as we introduce velvet, felt and textured leather to the Modalu collection.

We are so happy with the shoot, the personalities of the bags scream out through the images and we like to think that through each photo we represent a little bit of you!

Let us know your favourite shot!
