ASOS shopping!!!!

Hi guys, I ordered a few things from ASOS last night as they have a killer sale going on and plus, FREE SHIPPING!!! It cannot get better than this..!!And today morning, I received a mail from asos that my order has been shipped.They have a seriously fast service.No wonder they are one of the most popular online shopping website! So, here's what all I ordered....

This dress was love at first sight for me. I LOVE STRIPES!!! Though I was looking for a maxi dress in the same print, I am happy I bumped into this one.It's such a versatile dress, it can be worn as a dress, or if you put on a t-shirt or a shirt over it, it works as a skirt annnnnd if you tuck it in some other skirt or shorts, or any kind of bottoms, it works as a gorgeous tank top!!

You can see, my love for stripes continues....the scarf is such a statement piece...perfect for fall!

Yes, the palazzo pants are all the rage right now and I am joining in! And these are soooo similar to what Serena wore in Gossip girl!!

Isn't this fedora hat the prettiest!! I am so into hats right now, I wanted to order one more, the big slouchy one...But I realized I won't be able to wear it much here, so.....

Black opaque tights. I never found these in Delhi, anywhere!!I could just find the semi-transparent ones...I ordered two of these as I know I would be wearing it a lott!!

I wanted to have these coz they look soooo good on Madonna!!

And here comes the star of my shopping spree!! ALDO structured briefcase bag!!!! Do I seriously need to tell you why I bought this?? :P

Now, I am waiting for my package to arrive not-so-patiently....he he!! Did you guys shopped from ASOS yet?? If yes, please do share a haul ^____^

Jump leads!

{Jumpsuit/Necklace - Thrifted, Ring - Forever21, Shoes - US}

{Jumpsuit/Necklace - Thrifted, Ring - Forever21, Shoes - Venus Steps, Sheer shirt - Zara}

Every girl should own a LBD (Little Black Dress). True. But I say every girl should also own a LBJ (Little Black Jumpsuit).It's perfect for summers and so so easy to wear. You can dress it up as easily as you can dress it down.I wore my LBJ recently and played with the look to make it classy and casual. For the classy look, I wore a nude pumps & bright fuschia lipstick (it doesn't show up on the camera, I honestly don't know why :/ ). Later while going to the mall, I slipped into my favorite comfortable bellies and threw on a sheer shirt over. I also changed my lippie to my mlbb color as the bright fuschia color was not going with the red shirt. So, with a little this and that you can wear one classic piece in many different ways...Try it yourself!

Timeless classic : A white shirt

{ Shirt - Forever21, Navy Pants - Zara, Gold Flats - Da Milano, Red Bag - Vansons, Bangles & Earrings - Forever21, Belt - Promod}

I find myself fascinated with all the latest trends that flood fashion magazines.I enjoy reading and discovering new trends and feeling inspired...so inspired that I want to incorporate them instantly in my personal style.But sometimes, I just want to wear something that's simple, style it in my own way and just let it be....but still look chic.Like today.

I woke up late and was totally not feeling like going to college today, it has been a hectic week. Still, I dragged myself out of the bed and hopped into shower...but the big problem? I had no idea what to wear...and at such times I revert back to wardrobe essential pieces. BAM! Here comes the white shirt to the rescue! Lately, I have been finding myself drawn to this color...I now own many plain white t-shirts and few shirts. They are no fuss pieces. And I love that about these white beauties. Just a few pop of colors here and there and I am good to go.

P.S.- Yes, that's my new room. Pics have been taken by self-timer and that's the way it's gonna be most of the times till A comes back :/

Trend Watch: Printed Pants

We wear different kind of tops, different fabrics, different print, different styles but we always wear the same denims below them. This season saw some major life-altering changes (might be an overstatement :P ) in the bottom wear world.We were introduced to hot pink pants...which actually looked hot and not like some 14 year old girl's fetish with the color pink.The red, green & lemon yellow pants have been the talk of the town since the spring/summer 2011 collection hit the stores.Even a brand like Zara, which is known for its neutral basics turned all gems(yes, I am referring to the chocolate). I also made friends with two of them, the hot pink and the sexy red.And saying that I love them to death wouldn't be much of an overstatement.

But now, we are witnessing prints as in printed pants. And if you ask me, I love this trend more than I ever loved color-blocking!!And that says a lot. The trend has been all over the runways in the summer/spring 2011 collection.And many celebrities have been spotted sporting it as well.

I am guessing my take would be a little different than these. I will post the outfit very soon. Let me know what you guys think about this hot trend...

P.S. - I ran into Pallavi from StylePile today at Zara and she was sooo sweet to me...she totally made my day...and Pallavi, it was really really great to run into u!!! Hope to see you soon again... <3

What to wear on first day of college??

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably have an idea how much excited I am about getting selected in Pearl Academy of Fashion for pursuing Post Graduation in Fashion Designing!! I have always looked upto this institute as one of the bests in the industry and finally being a part of it make me feel so so happy....I cannot wait for the classes to begin, to learn everything about fashion and designing, and to finally stitch my own designs!

My classes would start in a month but I already cannot stop thinking about what I am going to wear for the first day at college and also on the following days...In fact, many of you girls would be soon joining new colleges or even starting a new semester at their college.This dilemma must be going on in your minds and hence, in this post I will try my best to help you all :)))

1. Discover your personality!!!

I would suggest to first evaluate and discover your personality, what you like or dislike, what suits you, etc etc...You may like boho style and would want to dress like casual boho chic, or your style might be fun and preppy...Here, I would discuss the college wear for normal students and also, I would suggest some tips if you are going to be a little bold with your dressing (I mean color!!)....I, personally,  would be opting for fun and preppy with a little boho mixed in...

2. Invest in some classic pieces..

Buy some basic denims and tanks if you don't have them already.A bellet flats would also be a necessity, IMO.A pair of trousers, a white shirt, bag that can fit all your essentials and so on.I always have some signature pieces like a pair of skinny jeans, comfy shoes, bright color tanks and so on...These are few basics that will always stant the test of time and will never go out of fashion. SO, save your money and buy some signature pieces and work your outfit around these.

And now, time for some visual aid ;)

BOHO CHIC
This look is to help bring out the boho chic in you without it being too much for college...The staples should be a boho tan bag and flow-ey tops.These two key pieces with the right accessories will bring out the glamour of boho fashion in your outfit...

PREPPY & FUN
The fun and preppy look! Opt for fun color pieces if you wanna rock this style and build the whole outfit around those key pieces. You can use neutrals to balance out the shock of one color or wear clashing and contrasting colors as well if you are up for it ;)

STYLE DIVA
There is always a girl in every class of whom every other girl is jealous and who is the queen of dreams of every boy...am I right? LOL!! Anyways... so, to be the most stylish girl , opt for golds and neutrals. The key here is skinny jeans...and I mean, super super skinny with sky-high heels ;)

GIRLY GIRL
To bring out the girly girl in you, you can wear skirts, cute frilly tops but do not do it like a 10 year old would do! Your outfit should look mature and stylish! Wear florals, colors, laces, whatever you like...just DON'T.OVERDO.IT!!!!

PUNK FUNK
I don't have much knowledge on punk fashion except that it involves lots of black :P I would suggest to incorporate a little color in your outfits as well coz an all black outfit can be a little intimidating...

I really hope I helped some of you coz it took me a lot of time bulding those outfits on Polyvore.com!! lol!! Have fun on your first day at college and remember to be yourself! :)

I got "Hot Pink" By NYX, but I still want this one...

Zara Printed Pants
 I am gonna get this as soon as I reach Delhi!!

High Heeled Brogues

I want mine in Black!or maybe dark tan brown...

Patent High Heel Pump in Rose Nude

So, pretty much all I am doing these days is sitting in my room all day, either browsing net, watching TV or flipping Cosmo...which again leads to a brand new wishlist! ha ha! But this time, I am gonna try and get at least 5 items off this list. Since TFSI and UD Naked Palette are not available in India, I have requested a dear friend who is currently in US to get these for me ^____^
And did I tell you guys, I am learning to sew, my mom is too good at it so I thought why not make something of the holiday and learn a new skill! Let's see if I can do something more than sewing a button!!
